Fitbit Versa 2 not receiving text notifications from iPhone XR

My Fitbit Versa 2 is not receiving text message notifications from my iPhone XR. I do get phone call notifications but have never received text messages. I’ve tried multiple trouble shooting suggestions from online forums, but nothing seems to work. All my devices are up to date and apps are all up to date as well. I’ve been having this issue for a long time now. It was happening with an old watch I had and when I bought the new Versa it continued. I never got texts.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @RebeccaLehman.

I am sorry to hear you're not receiving text notifications on your Versa 2. Thank you for trying to resolve this and providing the additional details. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. It’s important that you carefully review your notifications settings on your iPhone. Please confirm if you've followed all instructions in Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhonesIt's recommended to have "Show Previews" set to Always or When Unlocked. If it's not working with "When Unlocked" setting please try to change it to "Always".

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi there,

I've tried all the trouble shooting tips, turned bluetooth on and off, forgotten by Versa 2, paired it to my phone again, reset all notifications and settings and I am still unable to get text messages through on my Iphone XR.  I've even uninstalled the fitbit app and removed my Versa 2 from the account and started from scratch with downloading the fitbit app again and then linking my watch to it, still no messages are coming through.  Any other things I can try?
