My phone is constantly drained of power and when I check the battery it says Fitbit background activity of 72per cent over the last 24 hours, is this happening to anyone else

Without knowing what type of phone you are asking about I will mention the Android last week had this problem, and was fixed two app updates ago.

@Salkeld, I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. Tell me, since when have you experienced this issue? Have you updated the Fitbit app and the iOS on your phone recently? If so, I would like to suggest you to force-quit the Fitbit app when you're not using it to prevent it from running on the background.
To force-quit the Fitbit app, double tap the home button on your phone, then swipe up the app. If you close other apps running in the background using this method, it will also help to extend the battery life on your phone throughout the day.
