Fitbit app no longer opens at all

I have been struggling for months to open the Fitbit app. It was working fine for years until it didn’t. It used to take 8 to 10 attempts to get past the “ghost of data fields”. Yesterday morning it took me 29 times to open the app, and I haven’t been able to open it since. This morning I tried 40 times and gave up. I can’t look up how much I slept, or my HRV.

6th Gen iPad with iOS 17.2. Yeah, I tried logging out and back in. Yeah, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app. Yeah, I unsynced and resynced Bluetooth. Your app doesn’t work. What changed?

Does it help developers to know it’s much worse as of yesterday? Could this help inform them what is going wrong? Would someone at Fitbit please acknowledge this is happening and say SOMETHING?IMG_3695.jpeg

Same, although it only started after the most recent app update about a week ago.  I go through the same routine trying to fix the app.  The only thing that seems to work is shutting down my iPad completely and restarting it but who wants to do that multiple times a day?  Hopefully a fix is coming….🤞

Shutting down doesn't even work for me. Nothing works. The app is dead. Product unusable. No response from Fitbit. They don't care.

Hey Joot, I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble.  Weirdly, I noticed today that even though the app has not worked at all, my Fitbit is still somehow talking to the website because all my stats from today show up on my Dashboard.  Have you checked to see if your Dashboard is updating on Fitbit.com even if the app is giving you the blank screen of death?

Thanks for the suggestion, LindaDMR. I logged in to the Dashboard, and my stats are NOT updating since the previous visibly successful sync in the app. And the app continues to be worse than useless. It took 23 tries to open this morning, and I gave up after 40 attempts this evening.

Fitbit sent an email today "Did you get the answer you needed?" and prompted me to pick the best answer in the thread.

No, I didn't get the answer I needed. I am still waiting for Fitbit to fix their non-functional app.

I have the same problem. Started a couple of weeks ago. Kept getting worse. Now won't open at all. The only thing that works for me is deleting it and reinstalling it every single day.
