I just shifted from a Charge 3 to a Charge 5, due to my old FitBit screen becoming unreadable. I noticed the Today Screen on my iPhone FitBit App no longer shows floors climbed. The options only appear to be: Steps, Miles, Cal, and Zone Minutes. Can I get steps back?

Charge 5 does not count floors; it does not have the required hardware altimeter.

Johnny,
Thanks . I just noticed that in another thread. Amazing I would have never thought that a Charge 5 would be less capable at twice the price. I say that not only because of the stairs issue, but during sent up at least 2 apps said they were in development and not functional, appears the GPS cannot go longer than 2 hours so it is useless in a Marathon, plus the price was 2x the price of my Charge 3. Really thinking about going back to my 10 year old Garmin Forerunner 405 again. FitBit continues to blow it under Google ownership.

My FitBit Charge 4 display just stopped working even when fully charged. I had just bought new bands for it. When i went to replace it I debated replacing my old 4 or getting the newer Charge 5. I decided to get the Charge 5 not knowing that it didn’t have the features of the Charge 4 (like altimeter and GPS tracking). I just moved to a seventh floor condo and was looking forward to tracking my floors climbed. I can’t find it anywhere on my Charge 5.
