My app says my resting heart rate is 0 bpm but shows my current heart rate accurately. My actual fitbit watch has the real resting heart rate. I tried deleting the app and a resetting it but nothing changed. What can I do to fix this? I'm alive so I know my heart rate isn't 0 bpm.

I've been having trouble with my heart rate monitor on my Inspire HR. At first, the app was only displaying my resting heart rate, though it was recording my heart rate. I finally managed to fix that by updating the app. Now it's showing my BPM, but it displayed my resting heart rate as 0 bpm. Obviously, that can't be right. I've had problems in the past when I work out and the heart rate monitor stops tracking me. This is frustrating because then I don't get a completely accurate reading of my total workout. This fitbit isn't old, no more than six months or so. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I see where you're coming from about the issues experienced with the Fitbit app and I'm sorry that you're having this experience. Since you've updated the Fitbit app, may I know the model of your phone and the OS/software version? This information will help me to further investigate.
In the meantime, please try the following steps:
I'll look forward to your response.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out and sending these instructions. I tired all the steps and it’s still showing my resting heart rate as 0. I have and iPhone 11 Pro, iOS software 13.5.1.
Also, when I used it my Fitbit when I was working out Yesterday, the heart rate monitor was very erratic, and would cut out.

I also experienced the 0 bpm resting heart rate issue. I noticed this issues on July 18th, 2020. I tried the steps for recovery and they had no affect. I'm using an iPhone XR with IOS 13.5.1 and it appears to be downloading ISO 13.6. IOS 13.6 has 2 item changes listed under heath.

I'm still having the same problem on an iPhone 6s running 13.5.1. Seems like it started after the last firmware update for Fitbit 4.

After downloading and installing IOS 13.6, the issue is gone.

Since iOS update 7/16/2020 when I wake up in the morning Versa 2 app dashboard is showing resting heart rate at 0. If I click on the heart rate and it takes me further into the app it shows resting heart rate at a normal range for me. When the main screen of the dashboard finally shows resting heart rate it’s way higher than normal. I’ve reset the watch, logged out , back in, deleted the app off my phone and reinstalled it. I’ve never had this issue until last iOS update. Please help!
