Fitbit app won't track steps per hour

Fitbit App is not tracking 250 steps per hour. Fitbit shows correct even congratulations on completing goal. 2nd time this week. Tried all recommended actions, removed app, checked Bluetooth, restarted Fitbit 3 times and restarted phone (IPhone 14) etc…

Geeze worst posting process I’ve ever seen. Is something wrong with the server? Posted 4 times, no option for Charge 5 yet returns an error.

Hi there, @rrmcm.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and the steps tried prior to posting. I understand where you're coming from and I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. To work on this together, may I know if the rest of your Charge 5 data (steps, distance, etc.) matches with the Fitbit app? Do you recall when this started to happen?

As you may know, our team often releases updates for the Fitbit app to enhance its performance. With this in mind, let me share that a new version for the Fitbit app started rolling out to all our members and while it hasn't been fully released, please make sure to install it as soon as you see it available and keep an eye on its behavior.

The fit bit began acting up within the last 3 weeks, and again today. All other data is syncing fine, just not the 250 steps per hour.

Hi there, @rrmcm.

Thanks for getting back. Just to confirm, did you try updating the Fitbit app? If not, could you try doing that on your phone? For more information, see How do I update the Fitbit app?

Additionally, I'd recommend force quitting the Fitbit app, rebooting your phone, opening the Fitbit app and pulling down on the screen to force a manual sync. Then check if the Hourly Activity tile gets updated.

Thanks for reaching out, I tried all you suggested to no avail. It happened again within a few days but not again since.

Fingers crossed going forward.
