Fitbit iOS app crashes when I open (a) zone minutes (b) exercise days tab

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi I've been using Fitbit Inspire 3 for about 8 months with no problem. Then the last few days whenever I click on Active Zone Minutes or Exercise Days the app suddenly crashes. I've tried rebooting my watch, logging out of the app and restarting my phone - nothing is working and it's driving me nuts!

Does anyone have this problem or any tips on how to resolve it, please?

Thanks!

I’ve had the same problem for months on iPhone and iPad. From reading this help board it appears Fitbit/Google isn’t interested in fixing it or they are totally incapable. Maybe both.

Hi Ed100

So, maybe hold out until around 9th October and see if it gets rectified. Otherwise, I think I'm going to have to cancel my membership and go with another brand of watch, which is a pain!!

Fingers crossed the update works!

Hi Ed100

Annoyed as hell - nothing in the app update has changed, Just sent them an email (see below). I really don't want to have to upgrade to another watch, as the Apple, Garmin are so expensive. I'm going to hang out for a while longer. Did your update work?

Hi Daniel/Anyone

Tried the update. Logged out. Restarted my phone - I’ve done everything on the list of ‘to do’ for trying fix this huge problem. This is now becoming a huge problem. Why do none of your tech guys know how to fix the ‘active zone minutes’, ‘exercise day’s’ app crash? I’m paying premium subscription but losing out on very important data. Will this ever get sorted or do I finally have to cancel Fitbit and upgrade to a more expense, although, reliable brand. Please help, honestly.

Thanks

SWH

SWH,
Thanks for the update. A question, since this is a software issue and not a
hardware issue, do we somehow update the Fitbit app or does it do it
automatically? I’m confused.

Hi Ed100

I'm on a MacBook Pro and iPhone 11 Pro - both I continually update. My phone and laptop give me notifications if I need to update - to the point it drives me mad! 'Shutting down' and 'updating' is a normality we have to deal with. So, no, Fitbit are responsible for their software problems. Otherwise I'm looking into a refund of monthly subscription and device.

Today is October 11 and the 4.27.1 update doesn't fix the data corruption and crashing of the app when scrolling or swiping left and right on the exercise days Weeks or Months displays. You can make a month with only 6 or 7 days data show you 30 or 31 days by swiping back and forth through the weeks and then switch to months. Sometimes it will crash the app. Eventually the calendar (week or month) will fill. I exercise 7 days a week and all (most) of my data will return but not in a stable format. It's a process that I can repeat. The results are not stable.

Apparently questioning/annoyed with Fitbit get's this response!

I wanted to let you know that I've removed one of your recent posts (quoted below), as it was off-topic and not contributing to the conversation.

"Fitbit refused to sort the 'zone minutes' and 'exercise' options without the app crashing - so I've cancelled!! Gone to Strava, it's a £1 extra but so far, great. Like anything takes some getting used to. Great app and highly recommend. Strava also have much better customer service."

The app has been crashing for months when Active Zone icon pushed. Can’t get Google to help.  Just today the Heart icon is also crashing the app. This is on an iPad runningv17.7.1. I’d say my days of using Fitbit are numbered unless they get this Heart crashing fixed asap.
