 Hello

My Fitbit app notified me of an update. I started the update but had to interrupted in the middle. Now, the update won’t even show up. My brand new watch is having trouble  connecting to Bluetooth and I wonder if it’s because  it needs to be updated. Anyone have an idea how to get an update ?

Hi @Clucha, welcome on board. It's good that the community is growing!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, let's work on this together. While the Fitbit app seems to have been able to complete the update, please verify if you have the 3.0 version. If that's correct, I'd recommend the following steps to get your Fitbit device connected via Bluetooth:

  1. Remove the Fitbit device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth from any device nearby.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Turn on the Bluetooth and open the Fitbit app.
  5. Tap on the Account icon > Fitbit device image > notifications.
  6. When prompted, tap on the option to pair via Bluetooth.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

I do not have the 3.0 version. I have the 20001.60.39. Do you think that’s
the problem? It’s not even giving me the option to update.

I had a problem with my previous Fitbit. So Fitbit sent me a new one. The Fitbit connected with Bluetooth for about two hours and then did the exact thing the other one did. I am so disappointed. I am wondering if it is my app. I don’t see any option to update. I have tried everything and it still won’t pair with my iPad.

I got it to work! It now Bluetooth just fine with my device.   I just took off every other Bluetooth device that was on my phone and restarted my phone. I also took on and off the app and reinstalled it.  I now receive all my notifications just fine

Hi @Clucha. It's nice to see you again and thanks for your prompt reply.

Upon checking the 20001.60.39 version is related to the Charge 3, however the 3.0 version released a couple of days ago was for the Fitbit app. Please go to the App store > search for Fitbit app > In the version history you should see 3.0, which is the latest version.

Thanks for keeping me updated, and I'm glad that it was able to sync. You did a fantastic job! Now, you're all set to enjoy your device and crush your steps.

Catch you later!
