I updated my iOS to 9.2.1 today, and now my Fitbit won't sync at all. I tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions, but nothing worked. Help!

@nishabe @lesclamb I'd recommend making sure that you are using the most current version of the iOS App, version 2.18. Click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store and then follow these steps:

1. Restart your tracker.

2. Reboot your iOS device.

3. Turn your iOS device's Bluetooth off for 10 seconds and then turn it back on.

4. Set your tracker up as a replacement tracker to re-pair your tracker to your account.

@kjterps Restarting your tracker and rebooting your phone should help you out. If the problem persists for some reason afterwards, I'd then recommend force quitting the Fitbit App and then reopening it.

@Justminerara If restarting your tracker doesn't help, then I'd recommend reaching out to Fitbit customer support for additional assistance. Keep me posted!

@Ms911 Glad to hear that you are back in track!

I also upgraded my iOS & now my Fitbit won't sync. The clock has gone all wonky so it doesn't even keep proper time.

Ive been running iOS 9.2.1 for about a week and a half with no syncing issues. Last night did the Fitbit app update 2.18 now will only sync steps and heart rate. Have tested on another device running 9.2.1 with old app works fine. Power cycle on the affected phone and forgot and repaired the bt is still not syncing correctly. 😞

Same thing here since 9.2.1. Only syncs to the specific time when connected to USB and restarted, etc.

I realized after I posted that it was stuck on 10:38 the night before which is when I did the Fitbit update. It kept flashing v102 I plugged it into charge (although it really didn't need to) and again removed and repaired with my device and it appears today to be tracking and syncing correctly. The device being stick on the wrong time after the app update had something to do with the lack of syncing I'm sure. After a charge and repair today it seems fine

Restarting the fitbit did fix the issue. Thanks Derrick.

I have the same problem. After upgrading my iOS to 9.2.1, my Flex won't sync.

I had been having the same problems with my iPhone 6+ as of yesterday evening. All activity data from the past 4 days was missing and the Charge HR would not sync. I followed the troubleshooting instructions and restarted the charge HR, reinstalled the app, replaced the device, etc. and nothing worked as a permanent solution. Then I got some additional advice from the Fitbit support team, which was to perform a factory reset of the Charge HR according to these instructions:

https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/Why-can-t-I-set-up-my-new-tracker-using-the-Fitb...

Obviously this completely wipes the data from your Charge HR, but I was fortunate enough to have been able to make it randomly sync at some point this morning, so I only lost about 30 minutes worth of data.

Before attempting to reconnect to my iPhone I removed the Charge HR from the app, force quit it and switched my bluetooth off and on again. Since then it's worked like a dream - the time on the display is correct again and syncing is much faster. I hope this helps someone else.

Thank you! I could not figure out how to restart my tracker. This fixed the problem. I've been unable to communicate for 4 days! so frustrating. Happy to finally have communication again!

We all have tried the posted troubleshooting tasks with no success. Fitbit needs to push a patch that addresses the new IOS issues. It worked fine before the latest update. The devise doesn't pair any longer and stopped syncing. We need support to fix it ASAP.

if Fitbit leaves us all hanging I guarantee business will be lost.

My Fitbit is fine until I want to log a run. I get ‘check Fitbit app’ flashing up on my Fitbit. I’ve restarted my Fitbit but it hasn’t solved it. Also the app keeps logging me out so I have to log back in every so often. It was fine before the update and I’m looking at moving to Garmin as I’ve had enough.

Bought pixel 2 yesterday, synced with Fitbit straight away, having sync problems _yes, but no different to iPhone (running them both together for comparison) it syncs quickly sometimes and sometimes I have to turn phone off then on. Not really a problem, don't let it put you off
