My Fitbit is not turning on when I press the side button. I have to press it way too many times and hold it down for it to turn on. Also when it finally does turn on it is NOT synced. Wrong time/date. Wtf Fitbit?! First my texts now this. What’s the point of spending money on this watch if slowly it’s not going to work.

Thanks for sharing detailed information about your Fitbit's behavior. I understand how you're feeling about your Fitbit not working correctly and appreciate the steps tried on your own. About the screen, may I know if it turns on when tapping on the screen or activating Screen Wake? Also, may I know the model of your Fitbit? If you've not done so, please try performing a restart process to correct any misbehavior.
About your other inquiry, do you see an error message when trying to sync? I'd recommend to remove your Fitbit from the Bluetooth settings, force quit the Fitbit app, reboot your phone, open the Fitbit app and sync. Once this is completed tap your profile's picture > Fitbit icon and turn on the All-Day Sync so you can be prompted to pair via Bluetooth.
