A warm welcome to our new friend @Kimsfriends thanks for stopping by! I agree with @Odyssey13's post, all Flex trackers have a pinhole in it as shown here:
If your Flex doesn't have that pinhole I'd suggest you contact the retailer where you purchased it and ask for an exchange since you'll not be able to restarted it if you don't have a pinhole in the Flex's charging cable. If you're unable to have it exchange please go to the Fitbit store where you can purchase a new charging cable. At the moment you have a new charging cable please follow the steps provided at I can't sync my tracker.

Welcome to the forums @Kimsfriends
Depends on where you bought your Fitbit, but all Fitbit charger units for the Flex have that pinhole in it. Only third party ones lack it. You can purchase an authentic Fitbit charger at the store link upper right on this page.
You can always try uninstalling the app on your phone and seeing if that helps.
Flex recently had a firmware update. Did you update it?
