Fitbit won’t sync via Bluetooth

My Fitbit will not sync to my phone. If I plug it in manually to my computer it will sync. I have tried updating my phone, restarting my phone, restarting my Fitbit, deleting the app and reinstalling it, turning Bluetooth off and on and installing the app on my iPad to see if it would work on a second device. Secondly, what shows up on the computer app does not then translate to the phone app. Is there some kind of network outage? My husbands just says sync failed on his phone. Mine says it’s syncing but only shows calories.

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps that you've tried prior posting and for the information provided. While it's odd that your Fitbit just syncs with your computer, please give a try to the following steps to reconnect your Fitbit to your account:

 

  1. Remove your Fitbit from your iPhone, iPad and computer's Bluetooth.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app in your iPhone.
  4. Reboot your iPhone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  6. Choose your Fitbit and follow the onscreen instructions.
  7. Please accept the request to pair via Bluetooth.

 

If you wish to sync with another device, make sure to turn off the rest of the Bluetooth devices so they'll not interfere with the process.

So, when you tap edit and look at all of the things you can choose to see on the home page, all of mine had disappeared. They finally reappeared but I couldn’t tell you which trouble shooting activity actually fixed it as I pretty much did it all and didn’t realize I needed to go back under edit as I assumed if it was fixed they would just show back up on my home page.  It is working though!
