Food Entries Mysteriously Deleted

My food entries from April 2-8 have mysteriously been deleted from both my iOS app and dashboard. My Fitbit Charge 2 was reset yesterday to fix a sleep tracking issue I had. This is incredibly frustrating, half my tracked data for the month is now deleted which means an accurate assessment at month end is now impossible.

 

Has anyone experienced this as to what may be causing it and what can be done to fix it? Don't want this to be a reoccurring issue.

I understand you're not able to log in your food again, please keep an eye on this situation and log your food as you normally do, if you even come across this issue again, please reply to me so I can check this further. Screenshots will be very helpful as well.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in my response. Tell me, did you log your food through the Fitbit app, online Dashboard or a 3rd party app? At this moment, as we have not received more reports about this happening, I would like to ask you to manually log in your missing food in the app, then monitor your logs and let me know if this issue happens again. That will be very helpful for me to check this further.

Hi @MarcoGFitbit, apologies for the delay. The food had been logged the day of. It was recorded for +1week. Only noticed it had been deleted a few days ago. Noticed upon logging into the app, after which I also logged into the online dashboard on my laptop. 

 

Unfortunately, I cannot re-add the information as I do not have it written down elsewhere. Hopefully this is not a recurring issue.

I’m having a similar problem on a daily basis . I’m entering food data through the app, and by the following day it’s deleted. I also find that if I go to yesterday’s date and add food data, it appears in yesterday’s but also gets added to today’s . Any ideas would be welcome please. Thanks

My Fitbit app is not accepting  my food entries. I select them from my recent or barcode or frequent and they flash and then disappear.

I’m having the same problem! I can’t log any of today’s meals through the dashboard. All are prior logged or frequent entries that don’t davr

I was in touch with customer support yesterday apparently they are aware
of the problem and they are trying to fix it. They can’t fix it fast enough
for me LOL I am forced to use my fitness pal which I hate for food logging.
