Force Touch Stopped Working on the latest version of the app (2.91)

The iOS App version 2.91 that was released on 4/1/2019 no longer works with force touch on the icon. When I force touch on the icon and select "Log Water" all it does is just open the Fitbit app. It no longer goes into the water logging screen.

Hello @MikeyMcCo have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to log out from the Fitbit app, restart your phone, then log back in. After that, check if 3D Touch is still not working properly.

If you're still having trouble, let us know so we can check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did as you instructed and that did not fix the
problem.

I just think that this is a bug in the code.

Mike

I have a similar problem with 3D Touch (or Force Touch or whatever it's called).  Just in the past few days, when I select "Log Weight" it no longer takes me to the weight screen but just takes me to the app main screen.

I see that it was sort of fixed with version 2.93 (832). I can force touch the icon and get it to log water most of the times. Some times it does not work. I can't figure out a pattern but it is not consistent.

I was going to say the same thing this morning.

I don't know the exact situation/terminology, but it seems that if the Fitbit app is not in the phone's recent memory, 3D touch doesn't work.  For example, when I use 3D touch to log my weight first thing in the morning, it just opens the app.  However, if I close the app and return to my home screen, then do 3D touch again, it works.

So, in other words, if the app needs to "wake up," it won't work.  Once it's already going, it seems to work.

Curious. I did not do that when it worked before it was broken.

Hopefully the developers will figure this out.
