I've been refusing to update my app due to the terrible design of the new dashboard. After several days of using the solo adventures functionality without issues in my older version of the app, I began receiving a message stating that an app update was required to use this feature. Don't appreciate being required to fix something that wasn't broken, especially when it effectively results in a downgrade in the app's functionality. It's ridiculous to force this new version on customers without at least addressing the numerous requests to have all displayed tiles reflect historical stats for the day you are trying to view. (And yes, I've seen the various posts in these forums stating that having the tiles locked to current day stats was an intentional choice by the development team - would love to hear what the rationale for that was if that's the case. Why on earth would anyone want to see today's sleep info alongside last week's step info?)
While I understand that maintaining two versions of the app is not particularly feasible in the long run, I fail to see any good reason to force the update issue by placing restrictions on previously functional features in the older versions of the app. If I wasn't updating, it's because I wasn't having any issues that needed fixing. 😕

Apparently the old app is not compatable with the new challanges, so you have a choice to make.

I called support and having the tiles locked to current day stats was an intentional choice. I was told they were looking into the matter. The device is now useless to me.. I contacted the location where I bought the device and explanined that I was unhappy. I was told by the manager I could return it for a full refund.

I'm still trying to see what is so terrible about the new UI, considering that when the old dashboard was introduced people said that it was a horrible dashboard and threatened to leave Fitbit.
I can easily find all the data plus more thsn the old dashboard gave.

I agree! My husband and I loved the Fitbit and we were going to eventually upgrade - but this forced update us not at all appreciated. We don’t care to continue with Fitbit as a result. That’s just a money grab, and further promoting materialism, wastefulness and irresponsibility towards the environment in my books.
Had they offered a discount to trade in or some kind of incentive to upgrade or keep the same - I might not have been as upset/disappointed. But nope 👎 this sucks. We are moving on. Thanks Fitbit. Was fun while it lasted. 😕

I agree completely I do not like being forced to update the app or the device. It is perfectly fine to offer us an update when one becomes available but stop forcing us to do it. Please give us a choice on whether or not we want to do an update
