Friends not appearing in my challenge invitation list

For a while now a number of friends, which I can see in my friends list, are not available to invite to challenges.   Can you please tell me why.  This is very annoying and appears like I am snubbing them.  They used to appear, and at times they are there as soon as I open the challenge invitation list rebut after c.3 seconds they disappear

I am sorry to hear about the frustration this situation has caused. I appreciate the additional details and recommend trying the following:

 

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
  5. Try to invite your friends to challenge again and wait 15-20 seconds. You can confirm the steps to invite your friends in this help article:

I have tried what you suggested and unfortunately it resulted in even more of my friends now not appearing in my challenges invitation list.

 

I have checked with other users and they say they are experiencing the same problem.   It does not seem to matter whether users are with iOS or Android (I am using iOS).   This is very strange - people who have been on my invite list for months are now not available to select.   Please investigate or suggest some other fix.

I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. Our team has started releasing a new version of the Fitbit app. The updates come with new features and bug fixes and I recommend updating the app once you see it available to check if the issue persists. You can confirm the steps to update the app at

I am also facing this problem since i joined Fitbit. only 20 and odd % of my friends are shown in list for inviting challenge.
