Why does my GPS exercise tracking lock up for 12++ hours for no reason as well as just stop, and asking for the resume button to be pushed? When it is locked up, the information is tracked, but no day totals are available until the lock up, reopens

The Alta does not have GPS Tracking.

You might want to ask this in the iOS or Android forum

I understand my Alta HR does not have a GPS; however, when I walk, I connect my FitBit to my I Phone 11 Pro to track time, distance, steps, average time per mile, For some reason the connection disconnects and then until midnight nothing updates, miles, steps, calories, etc. By the next morning it resets.

Since you say you have an Alta, you will not be able to connect it to your phone to record your exercise.

You could use your Fitbit app to record with gps your run/walk.

Thank you!
I am confused!
Every time I walk or run, I open up the exercise area on the FitBit app and sync to my I Phone GPS. On the app it reports my progress thru my connection, reports multiple information in my app. There have been times when a disconnect occur. When this occurs, the app updating a variety of important things, is locked down until midnight. Nothing is updated; however, the next morning all the data shows. It is frustrating for the data updates to be locked up all day.

I was hoping when Google purchased FitBit, everything would improve, so far and sadly no improvement at all.
Again thank you for trying,
Bill
