HELP! Charge 3 no longer notifying for Texts no matter what I try :(

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve tried every piece of advice I have read online and in forums, including: reset, factory reset with erasing all data, signing off, unpairing and repairing on Bluetooth/forgetting device and reconfiguring, checking ALL notification setting and do not disturb settings... and more I can’t even remember. I get buzzed when I’m making a call (not useful) and sometimes when I’m receiving one but no longer receive notifications for texts. This is my favorite feature of the Fitbit watch and it’s very frustrating not having it work anymore. I don’t know what could have happened to change it. I’m on an iPhone XR on the latest update. Any help appreciated.

Hello @Elizabethbc

I understand your not getting notifications and you have tried multiple troubleshooting tips. I’m not completely sure what all the tips and troubleshooting you did completely but maybe I can help. I’ll at least give it a shot. Please look at and complete all these steps:

First open your Fitbit app

Tap your profile picture in upper left

scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”

scroll down and tap notifications

enable the notifications you want in green

now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page

Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly:

go to:

device iOS settings>location services >Fitbit>Always on

also Go to:

iOS setting>Fitbit>Location>Always on

also go to:

iOS settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews

Now Go to your Bluetooth:

  1. Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your Fitbit device
  2. Turn on the Share System Notifications.

😃please get back to me to let me know if this solves your notifications issue.

Thank you for your help 🙂
However I had tried all of this, some several times. I did somehow get it to work again but had tried so much I’m not sure what worked.
My best guess though is that I removed my sons exercise tracker app from my phone. I don’t know if it’s likely my phone was getting confused because I think it stopped working when I took away permission for his to access my message notifications.
But removing that app did seem to work... or anyway something did 🤷‍:female_sign:
Hopefully it keeps working!
Thanks

Hello again @Elizabethbc

I would agree that there was a conflict with both apps.
