Health metrics BR and HRV not showing

Hello, my sleep is always properly recorded, as is my heart rate.  However, HRV has only ever recorded 3 times in the year plus that I've worn my Fitbit every day.  Breathing rate is recorded maybe two or three times per month.

I just upgraded from a Versa 2 to a Sense, and the issue persists, at least in the last two nights I've used it.

Is there a best practice to capture breathing rate and HRV?  Again, all other metrics are recording properly.

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for taking the time to share what you've experienced with HRV and HB. Our team is aware of the missing Health Metrics data and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. Please be sure your Fitbit device has the latest firmware version. Also remember that you need at least 3+ nights of sleep data to see those details as well.

Additionally, if you don't see data on the health metrics tile, it may be because the device has not yet been worn properly, so you can double check the following tips:

  • Wear your device for at least 1 full day (during the day and to sleep at night). Check your stats after you wake up in the morning.
  • Make sure the back of your device is in contact with your skin. The band should be snug but not constricting. If you experience any discomfort, loosen the band, and if it persists give your wrist a break by taking it off.
  • Most metrics require at least 3 hours of quality sleep. If you move a lot during your sleep or the sleep session is too short, you might not get a reading.

For more detailed information, see What should I know about health metrics in the Fitbit app?

Hope that helps.
