Heart rate zone incorrect

Hello All:

When I have been using the fitbit exercise tracker, I have noticed I rarely get into peak exercise.  Then I looked at most of my exercises and I have been in peak for a lot of them. I am 34 years old.

220- (age 34) = 186 is my MAX hr.

186 x .85 (peak heart rate calculation) = 158.1

I have an apple phone and when I go to Activity and Wellness, then Heart Halth, the heart rate zones are incorrect.  For some reason the APP says 167 for my peak. Is there any way that I can change the 167 to 158 ? Anyone else notice this ? I have reached out to fitbit but customer support is horrible.

The calculation you are using is the method Fitbit used to use.  For  most models the calculation has changed, taking into account your resting heart rate.  For most people, this has raised the zone ranges.

See How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device?  and scroll down to 'What are heart rate zones?"

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
