@WeatherRich   @umbrellaman  @JuanFitbit   This is a relatively new bug in the Fitbit app.  it is a mile/meter mismatch. It is your distance in meters.  It is only on the "Day" screen.

Another good day for me, too!  Tomorrow’s a rest day. 😞

@WeatherRich @umbrellaman Nice to see you 2 around thank you for the screenshots.

I moved your posts to another thread as this is another issue, so that the other users with the walks issue do not get confused.

I need more information about the issue:

Does the amount of steps match any other count of any previous days?
Could you tell if the amount shown on the pictures is the sum of the steps of the previous days with the ones of the day shown on the app?

Did this happened just 1 day or does the symptom replicates afterwards?
If this happens more than once, did you notice if the amount is the same on those days or do you see another number?

It’s been happening since June 1. No correlation with actual miles. It’s miles, by the way, not steps.

This problem is distance in miles, not steps.

It doesn't match the count of previous days unless it is counting the last three years or so.

It happens every day, however it corrects itself on previous days. The numbers are different every day.

Thank you for that diagnosis, you should get a job at Fitbit! On second thought...

It is still a very odd bug and only adds to the growing list.

As mentioned, it only appears on the Day>Today screen, on all previous days it resolves back to miles.

@LZeeW , Thank you for your help.

@WeatherRich @umbrellaman , Thank you for your replies and further information. You mentioned that the amounts correct themselves on the previous days. The data on the current day stays wrong until the next day or have you seen that it corrects itself after a few hours?

Does this issue appears after you turn off/on your phone?

Since today is Tuesday, it will be wrong all day (admittedly I am not checking every hour) until I check tomorrow. Then Wednesday will be wrong, and Tuesday will be correct. Turning off/on the phone has no effect.

The fitbit app also has problems with meters/feet conversion in the elevation gain calculation. I posted this back in February. This issue has not been acknowledged, let alone corrected, by google.

Same for me.
