Hourly 250 steps not sync with app when charging

I have noticed in multiple occasions that if I complete my hourly steps and then start charging the Fitbit, when I reuse the Fitbit charge the completion of the hourly steps shows up in the device but not the app, where the grey dot is there instead.

Could it be it just hasn't synced since you completed 250?

Hello, yes it is likely, but I think it’s a flaw, for example my Fitbit device says 5/9 while the Fitbit app will report 4/9 with the first one missing. The app and the device should match once a sync is completed

So then the question becomes: was the first hour there before you charged it but charging removed it;

or does this have nothing to do with the charging.

Likely it has little to do with the charging. It is possible that every time you remove the Fitbit from charging, do your steps, put back on charging but you don’t sync the app, that the steps will be recorded on the device but not the app. I had this issue even without charger being involved. I still believe that at the end the sync should create a match from device to app (cloud)
