Hourly steps tile disappeared after update.

I waited a few days before installing this update becuase I am still heartbroken about the last Fitbit update I did, which deleted the great old app and installed the terrible new one, with no way to go back. I check my Fitbit so much less these days. Oh well.

But this time, it said just bug fixes, and I didn't see any public outcry like we had last time (for all the good that did...), so I updated... and now the 250 steps per hour tile is gone. I can click on "edit" and add in other tiles, but not that one. It's just gone. It's still on my laptop, but I actually don't walk around with my laptop under my arm all day.

Are other people also missing this tile, or is it just me? I have a Flex, and an iPhone SE, current IOS.

@MarcoGFitbit, deleting the app and reinstalling it did the trick! Whew! It was just some sort of glitch. And everything is OK now (well, except for not being able to get the good old dashboard back! I will never stop missing that!). Thanks for checking on me.

Hello @groundzero, I hope you're doing well, it's great to see you around. Smiley Happy

This seems like a very odd situation, if you have already tap on Edit and the Hourly step tile is not showing please try logging out from the app, restarting your phone and logging back in. The open the app and tap on Edit once again. If the tile is still not showing as hidden, please reply to me with a screenshot of your mobile Dashboard so I can check this further.

Give it a try and let me know the outcome, I'll be happy to continue helping you! Smiley Wink

Hey I have missing tiles. I keep trying to find decent instructions on how to get them back. The instructions I find in forum are not helpful. They do not show with a plus when I tried hitting the edit on bottom.  I can only delete what is showing on my dashboard. I do not have an edit on top right as stated in other directions. What am I doing wrong?

Hello @Jhaynes93, welcome!, it's great having you on board. Smiley Happy

Would you be so kind to let me know which tiles are you missing and would it be possible for you to send me a screenshot of your Dashboard? Additionally, please tap on the Account tab and check if your tracker is under your name. If it's not, that explains the missing tiles, please try to set up your tracker as a new device so they can show up.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know if you need anything else. Smiley Wink

Hi,

I’m having this same problem, the info for hourly steps is gone and the app is not allowing me to add it again. How do I mitigate this? Thanks

Sept 9 2020. Hourly steps tile is missing. The update was a couple of days ago and it was still on my app for the first four hours of the day and then disappeared. I took the app off and put it back on. I shut off my phone and restarted that. I got my original Fitbit in February it’s now September and it had to be replaced the first time three months after I bought it. It’s now about another three months and the step tile is gone after the new update. I’ve tried other suggestions that people have posted but it’s not coming back. Help!
