I can't see how to change the stride length for the Fitbit flex in the iOS app. The instructions say to tap on the gear symbol at the top right of the dashboard, but I don't have that symbol. I only got my Fitbit on Thursday and have the 'horizontal' app. Please can someone help me.

@Jane1 don't remember seeing anywhere within the iOS app you can change your stride length. You can do it from the Dashboard (website) by clicking here and scroll down to Body Info. You can input your walking stride length and your running stride length.

Thanks @SunsetRunner. I didn't know I had a dashboard on the website. I've managed to change it.

I guess that's a learning point for Fitbit then. If the first instruction to set up the Fitbit is to download an app, and the app has a dashboard on it, then when any other instructions talk about a dashboard, customers assume it's that one!

@Jane1 no problems, glad you got it fixed. When you see "Dashboard" on the forums it is usually referring to the website dashboard. Most of us will say "Mobile App" when referring to the iOS/Android/Windows Phone apps.
