How do I see the weekly step total in the new app?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since the new terrible upgrade to the app, I am not able to see the weekly count of steps towards my weekly step goal. It only shows me a daily average I really at liked the original dashboard that calculated your weekly steps, and then you could see a week over a week improvement. Is this feature gone. Can you please give me the old app back? This one also visually sucks.😩

Hi @hx39149 , tap “Steps” on the main screen. At the top of the next screen, you’ll see the options “Day, Week, Month, Year”. 😊

Thanks! The issue is that it no longer totals the steps. So if today I have 50,000 steps but my goal is 70,000 steps for the week, I cannot see that. The new app only allows you to see the averages per day, week, month, etc. The previous dashboard also allowed you to squirrel so you could see your week over week step count cumulatively. There that feature is no longer available.

@hx39149  - It’s in small type lol — After tapping “Steps” on the main screen, tap “week” at the top of the next screen. It says something like “4,770 steps per day (avg)” in larger type, then the totla steps for the week so far are in a small paragraph below it - “You hit your goal on 1 day so far. You took a total of 23,854 steps”. Yes, not the best way to display it (thanx to the new app) but it’s there.

@MarkStone thank you!!  I still hate the new app but I was going crazy that I couldn't compare my weeks anymore, it's still not ideal but at least the numbers are there, thanks for that!

I too hate the new and unimproved app.

I used to be able to see this weeks total, last weeks total, week before total, ad nauseum, on one screen. Can't do that any more. Therefore, new app is fundamentally broken.

@AdeptGeraden , tap <Steps>, then at the top of the screen <Week>. In large numbers, it shows your average steps per day this week, and in the paragraph underneath it shows the week’s total steps so far.  Where it says “This Week”, use the arrows to scroll through total steps for previous weeks. 😊

IMO average steps per day is a useless stay. Total steps per week is a more useful stat and is not prominently displayed. It is difficult to do week to week comparisons when you have to keep clicking to other screens to get the information instead of scrolling up or down. Just because the information is on the app doesn’t mean it’s presented in useful manner. The redesign is a fail.

Let me be very clear.  Average steps per week, per month, etc is not an acceptable substitute for the old display that listed the steps for each day and totaled them by week.  We want actual numbers, not averages.
