How do you delete old messages and notifications from the fitbit app?

I have so many old messages and notifications in my Fitbit app that I cannot see the most recent ones.  I have looked and looked for a way to delete the old ones - both on the Fitbit app (app is on an iPhone 8 with iOS 13.2.1) and on the Fitbit website (which I am on now using my laptop).  I see no where in either interface that gives me the option to delete any messages and notifications.  Is there something I am missing, or is there really no way to delete them?  It is super annoying that all I can see are my old notifications and messages and cannot see the new ones.   I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the app and all that did was get the red dot on notifications to go away. The old notifications are still there.  My Charge 3 is version 20001.60.39

Hello @lauraleck first I have moved your IOS app question out of the hardware support and into the iOS support.

If I'm correct the notifications your asking about on the app should go away after 30 days. That is what Fitbit says. A search of the iOS board seems to say otherwise.

However the notifications I think your asking about on the app will not show on the website. So I'm a little confused.

Same for me. I have notifications over a year old still showing up and the red notifications button never goes away. So the "Fitbit says they purge after 30 days" answer is not correct.

You are correct, the notifications do not show up on the website. I was meaning that I could not find and answer on how to delete them on the website and I could not find any information or setting on the website that would delete them from the app.   It seems many people are having a similar problem, and the notifications do not go away after 30 days as Fitbit claims.   There are notifications on there from over a year ago when I had a totally different Fitbit than the one I do now.   It also will not let me scroll through the notifications past a certain point.    The problem has rendered the notifications function on my Fitbit app useless.

Exact same issue. The last notification I can see is from February 2018. It’s really frustrating at the notifications are (were) one of the best functions. Hopefully a developer can get on this ASAP.

I have a notification about my Battery level being low from March 2.  I want to delete but I am not able to.  It would be nice if there was away to delete it.  I tried to swipe to delete but that doesn't work.  The red dot is there showing I have a  notification but that is the only notification I have.
