I do not know the correct  place for this question...

The sleep icon on my I phone is gone. How do I get it back?

Thanks

Hi @strider026. I'm glad to see you around and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for your question. You're on the right place and please try the following steps to add the sleep tile back to your Fitbit app:

  1. Open the Fitbit app.
  2. Tap on the "Discovery" icon at the bottom.
  3. Tap Health & Fitness Stats.
  4. Then tap on the stat you want to add. In this case, tap on the sleep icon.
  5. Then tap Add to Today.

If you'd like to remove one tile or rearrange them on the dashboard, you can check this help article for more instructions.

If you need anything else, let me know.

It says it is added, but im still not seeing it on my watch anymore.  It's also not tracking my sleep correctly.

Hi @Lisaleigh92. Welcome. It's good to see you here in the forums.

Thanks for trying the steps posted above. Before anything else let me clarify that the tiles displayed on the Fitbit app aren't connected to the stats displayed on your Fitbit device. That being said, may I know the model of your Fitbit device? Are you able to sync correctly? By not tracking your sleep correctly, do you mean that the sleep times are incorrect?

In the meantime, I'd recommend to force quit the Fitbit app, restart your Fitbit device, open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.

Hi @Julhof. Welcome to the Community Forums.

If the steps posted above didn't work for you, please give a try to the following:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap the Edit button at the upper right corner.
  2. Scroll down and you'll find a list titled Additional Stats that shows the tiles that aren't shown on the Today screen.
  3. Look for the sleep tile and tap Add.
  4. Tap Done to save the changes.

Hi @Julhof. It's good to see you here again.

Thanks for sharing the options displayed when tapping on Edit. Just to confirm, is your Fitbit device connected and syncing with your account? I'm asking this as when a Fitbit device that has the ability to track sleep is removed from the Fitbit app, the tile will automatically be removed. On the Fitbit app, please tap your profile picture and verify if your Fitbit device appears below your name. If it's not there, tap on Set Up a Device and follow the onscreen instructions to reconnect it to your account and add the sleep tile.

Hi @LizzyFitbit ,

Thank you for your help, I went through everything several times. I ended up talking to customer support and they ended up sending me a new Fitbit, because they said the Heartbeat monitor was completely dysfunctional.

What if I don’t have a FitBit or my Fitbit doesn’t track sleep but I want to enter it manually? I don’t have Sleep as an available tile/stat to add to my dashboard even though I did at one time. Now, it’s vanished.

@jetsetter It's good to see you here.

Thanks for your question and let me explain that certain tiles, such as heart rate or sleep will appear only when a Fitbit device that supports those stats is connected in your Fitbit account. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and my best advice is to share o share this idea in the Feature Suggestions board so our developers can take it into consideration for future improvements. To learn more about this board, see our FAQs.

It did not add sleep?

Hi there, @Elliehutch2626.

Thanks for joining this thread and just to confirm, what do you mean about not adding it? If you're talking about the sleep tile, let me recommend trying these other steps:

  1. Check if the Fitbit app is updated on your iOS device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap the Edit button at the upper right corner.
  3. To add a stat tile, swipe down and find the stat you want to add then tap Add. To hide a stat tile, tap the X icon on the stat you want to remove.
  4. Tap Done to apply the changes.
