How to hide my step count from my friends?

Can someone please help?   I just cannot compete the weekly steps with my Fitbit friends anymore and am feeling the pressure to keep up, which I cannot.   So I went into my privacy on Fitbit.com and made my information private.  However, it does NOT allow me to keep my active daily step count private and this still, to my mind, will continue to show on my friends' apps.  If I delete the app will that get rid of it?  I did not think so and wonder is there any way at all that my weekly steps can be taken off the lists that they see on their apps? (i.e. the 'friends' icon on the app with my weekly steps against my name on their app).

I want to continue using my Fitbit for my own private use including the part that Fitbit does not allow to be private. Help please. I do not want to block people as that seems rude.

Hello @Superdooper, it's nice to see you around, I hope you're having a great day. Smiley Happy

At this moment is not possible to remove your steps or your profile from the 7-day ranking and keep your step count private, even if you delete the app. I understand this might not be ideal for you, which is why I would like to suggest posting your insight as a suggested idea to implement this feature in a future update. That way, members of the Community can vote for your idea and add their comments to it, this is truly the best way to make your voice heard.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted! Smiley Wink

Thank you MarcoGFitbit

Your answer was comprehensive and I am really disappointed Fitbit are really unable to allow people to keep their steps private from their friends, even on a temporary basis. There are reasons why people are no longer able to keep up on a leaderboard and it is soul destroying to know that others are aware of it.

You suggested I posted it as an insight for Fitbit to perhaps incorporate it later.   How do I go about this please?
