Before the web dashboard was deleted, I used to be able to log a walk, and instead of measuring by miles or km, I could record a certain number of steps. I cannot see how to do this in the fitbit app. Could someone help me?

@Javic To the best of my knowledge, adding steps on the app has always involved a bit of a math workaround. You must log a walk. You enter a distance -- Fitbit will add steps based on your stride length. But don't overthink the math. A good starting point is 2,000 steps per mile.
However, I honestly recommend not adding steps manually. Manually added steps/distance don't count towards badges. You will think you are due a badge when you aren't.
@InsomniacYes That green "+" button should be on your Android app in the same place. It even has a name. It's called a floating action button.

I know how to manually log a walk by distance in mile or kilometres - but online there was an option to change the distance to “steps”.
I cannot see this in the app. I have googled but as far as I can tell this option doesn’t exist in the app. Which is bs, since they deleted the online dashboard and say you can do everything from the app. Well, no, I can’t do that!!

Are you using the iOs version of the app? Using the android app, I don't see any square with a + on it.
