Is there a way to calculate your total steps for a year, or other time period on the app or on the website?

Hey there @hchu, welcome to the Community!

I'll be glad to help you with you inquire about the steps count.

Please note that you will be able to see either the total amount of steps or the average from the Steps title on the app. Please see the next picture:

You can press on the arrows that point to the left and right to move through your yearly history!

@hchu   We used to be able to look at a custom time period on the web dashboard.  No longer available since the web dashboard is deactivated.  Only like @EstuardoFitbit showed in the screenshot.

Hey there @dwin, welcome to this thread.

I'm sorry this isn't working for you. It would be a pleasure to help!

First of all, let's make sure that your device is tracking your steps properly. Performing a restart is the easiest way to get your device back on track.

@EstuardoFitbit  I have done the restart countless number of times - as recommended by several other Fitbit Moderators, and by several Fitbit user support calls/chars. It has never worked. The device works fine and captures all the information correctly to the data servers. The weekly e-mail reports show exactly what I have done. The iPhone syncs well with the device as the information for the current day is always fine. It is the app communicating with the data servers that is the problem. Since August 26 of last year the totals for the week, month and year have all been 0. This despite the fact the app can keep me up to date which badges I have earned - how many times and last time I earned them. The app can't show me the actual numbers for last week, last month, etc.  But I can see all the numbers prior to August 26 going all the way back to January 1, 2014 on a yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, and even an hourly basis.

So the device can talk to the data servers fine. The e-mail program you use to send us updates can talk to the data servers fine. The only thing that can't talk to the data servers is the recently updated app after over 11 years of working fine. Any hope of this ever getting resolved?
