How to use Music Control in the Fitbit app?

Can someone please explain the Music Control feature in the Fitbit app? I play Spotify while I run, but I would prefer to do everything from one app. Can the app play from spotify, or do I need songs downloaded on my phone?

There is no music control in the app unless your phone is an iOS device. 

Therefore I will assume so and move yoiry ios app quesrion out of the Charge 2 board and into the ios area .

Sorry. New at this (1 day). I have a charge 2, an iphone, and a Fitbit app that has music control that I don't know how to use. Not really sure what you're talking about, but sorry to have posted in the wrong place. I'll certainly try not to make the mistake again.

@jdsharp  Unfortunately, you cannot use Spotify from within the Fitbit app.  If you want to control your music from within the iOS app, you need to play downloaded songs or from Apple Music.

I don't have more details about using the feature.  I play music from Amazon music while exercising. 

I am adding the additional information, since you seem to be new to the Charge 2.   When you using the app in the way that has Music Control, you are using a feature called MobileRun.  With MobileRun, you are limited to Walk, Run and Hike.  If you do other forms of exercise, check out the Exercise (multi-sport) mode.  You can load up to seven out of a list of 19 exercises.  All music has to come from another source -- Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon music, etc., when using the Exercise Mode.  I use the Exercise Mode exclusively, as I do other things that those listed in MobileRun.
