I can't edit the distance. It always reverts back to the previous one

Previously with the Blaze, when I would run on the treadmill I would start the workout as a run (GPS turned off) then go to the iOS app to edit the distance if it measured incorrectly (which it basically always did). I have been wearing the Versa now since last Wednesday and I have tried to do the same thing for my treadmill runs (I did try using the "treadmill" workout but it doesn't measure accurately either and the distance is not editable at all for that workout), but when I edit the exercise and change the distance and hit "done" it changes for half of a second then reverts back to the previous distance fitbit calculated. I assume this is some type of bug that needs fixed? I have the latest version of the fitbit app.

Hey @k8lyn, it is great to see you around! Ok, let's start with the distance not accurately tracked on the treadmill. As you may know, because when doing this activity you are not moving forward, the distance won't be as accurate as if you were actually walking or running. However, you could try to calculate and enter your stride length through your Fitbit account and check the results after that.

Now regarding the edited distance that reverts back to the previous one, I'd suggest you the following:

- Log out from your Fitbit account

- Reboot your phone

- Log back in to your Fitbit account

- Try to enter the distance again

By the way, I just moved your post to the correct board, which is iOS, to get better assistance.

Let me know if that works!

I’m having the same issue with the Versa. Tried the above suggestion of logout, reboot, log back in. The run distance still reverts. Any other suggestions for a fix?

Is there any update on a fix for this?

Hey @after_dark_art, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! I appreciate you have taken the time to follow the steps that I previously posted! In regards of the status of this issue, I have no updates about this yet, but I'd like you to try something else, please force quit the app and then try your run as usual.

Let me know if the issue persists.

Having the same issue: when I  edit the distance run to match the distance measured on Map my Rrun, the fitbit app changes the log for a moment then reverts back. I tried shutting down the app & rebooting my Iphone.  At first this looked good, the new distance and pace was displayed.  Looked again a short time later and the distance and pace was back at the original, incorrect figures!

I've adjusted the stride length now so hopefully future logs will be a bit nearer the mark.  But it would be good to correct my other records if possible.  Help to solve this anomaly would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Sorry, no solution yet. Still hoping someone out there knows how to do this. You never know Fitbit might fix this bug one day!

2022 could be the year 🤞

I'm still having this same issue on the luxe with an android phone, so this definitely isn't just an iOS problem. Can't believe this issue hasn't been resolved in 4 years!!

Same issue -- for me it started after a Fitbit update years ago and no matter what I do it still does not update the distance I have set as a goal on my app with the tiles on the phone, nor the tiles on the website.
