I cannot pair Alta with iPhone6

I just got a Fitbit Alta from my wife who was using it till yesterday. I tried to pair it up with my iPhone 6 ob my own avvount but it will not do so. Just stops at searching...i had a Charge which i removed yesterday.

Check the bluetooth settings on your wife's phone to make sure there isn't still a connection to the Alta that's blocking your phone from connecting.
