I don't want the community feature. How do I turn it off?

I've decided I really, really strongly dislike the community feature that appeared on the app dashboard this morning. Is it possible to turn it off? And if not, give me one good reason...

Huge Fitbit fan & was looking forward to "Groups" as in ones we could create to keep up with friends. 

 

I joined a swim group where it says over the picture of a swimmer, get TIPS. What do I see? Somebody posting there personal best badge for steps & various other irrelevant posts. 

 

This is meaningless & a waste of time.
