I do a daily swim of approx 40 minutes and let my Charge 3 detect automatically. It always detects the exercise time correctly but always detects as Elliptical rather than a swim. This is also easy to correct by just re categorising in the IOS app.
However, over the past couple of weeks when I do this, it only logs as about 20 - 25 minutes of active exercise - even though there is more than that time in the heart rate.
Further investigation seems to show that this is caused by the calorie log dropping to zero for about 10-15 mins after the firs 5 mins. The strange think is that on the initial detection as “Elliptical” the calorie graph looks okay and the active minutes is the full amount, it is only after I change to a swim that the calories drop off and the active ministers drops. The attached images should show this better - the exact same exercise as both Eliptical and Swim.

Anyone ?
Still seeing this issue every day on my swim - calories / active minutes are perfect when as detected elliptical, but disappear when change to swim

This is getting ridiculous.
After seeing a new update this morning (version 3.17) I was hopeful that my issue would be resolved, but it’s now worse - after a 39min swim, it added a total of 0 active minutes, even though 18 minutes were at peak heart rate.
What is the point of a fitness tracker that cannot even track how long I have been active ?
Added to that, I have had ZERO response to my queries - Fitbit even had the gall to send me an email saying that they had seen responses to my initial post and hoped my issue now resolved !
Seriously, I think it’s time to start looking at an Apple Watch.
