Increase accuracy of exercise tracking on the iOS iPhone 11 App

I recently upgraded my phone from an iPhone 8 to an 11. Ever since then the accuracy on the Fitbit app is WAY off when I use the exercise tracking on the app. A leisurely 40 minute, 2 mile walk may say I went 4 miles with a 10 minute/mile pace. The GPS makes it look like I was running from one side of the street to the other side all over. This is not even close to being accurate. Help!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @FrayaL.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding the exercise tracking accuracy in the Fitbit app after upgrading your phone from an iPhone 8 to an 11. Thanks for the details shared, I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. I recommend making sure your Fitbit device is updated as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update my Fitbit device?

GPS accuracy depends on the signal strength among other factors. I recommend checking out this article with information about the different factors that can affect GPS: How accurate is GPS data?

Keep me posted on the outcome. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
