Inspire 3 iphone app showing kilometers not miles

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have set my distance goal in miles (4 miles per day) and the app is logging miles but displaying in kilometers. I saw previous advice to change the goal on the website dashboard (not app) but I have no access to changing my goals through the website. Help!

Hi, @nlevine, Welcome to the community. From the "Today" screen on the Fitbit app on your phone, touch your icon in the top right corner>Fitbit Settings>Date, time, units>Length>select "Feet Miles">return to the "Today Screen". Now your distances should have changed to miles. Note that if you are swimming, this is governed by another setting.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi - that doesn't work, it still shows my distance goal as 6 (which would be km) and not 4 miles. The fitbit tracks in miles but the goal is reflected in kilometers. fitbit km not miles.png

Hello @nlevine and @Gr4ndp4 It’s nice to see you here!

@Gr4ndp4 Thank you so much for your support!

@nlevine Thanks for sharing all the details and the screen shot provided.  I like to ask you to confirm if your app is up to date, if not please complete it.

Additionally, check that your Fitbit app is not open on another device. If it is, please leave it on only one device and try changing your measurement preferences again.

@nlevine   I moved your post to the iOS app forum, a better fit for this issue.  This is a known longstanding mile/km mismatch in the iOS weekly distance view.  My app looks just like yours.

Seems to be very low on the priority list of things to fix.

yes, it's up to date and that didn't work.

Okay thank you! I see that people have been having issues with this for at least 6 years - I've been a fitbit user since 2014 and honestly didn't notice before but now it's all I see and it's so annoying! Hopefully it makes it up higher on their fix it list.
