I have an apple iPhone 6 and a fitbit ionic. I can not get my Fitbit to display text messages. I have read the forum and help section but to no avail. Please please help as this was one of reasons for getting this fitbit ionic, that and it being water proof for swimming. Please help as driving me mad. Jacqui

Hello @Chapmantribe, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. are you receiving call and app notifications? Since when hasve you experienced this issue? Would it be possible for you to let me know the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far? That will be very helpful for me to check what's the next steps to follow.

In the meantime, please go to your phone's Bluetooth settings > Fitbit and check that the following is enabled:

  • Allow Notifications
  • Show on Lock Screen
  • Show in History.

Then, try to reset Notifications from the Fitbit app by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Restart your phone
  3. Restart your Ionic by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
  4. Go to the Fitbit app, then tap on Account > Ionic > Notifications and enable everything again.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to pair your tracker with the phone, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

I have tried all you have suggested. I get phone calls but no text . I only get phone calls nothing else. Have set up and paired 2/3 times and it still does not work. I have iPhone 6 and latest update. Surely I am not the only person with this issue. Please help again with clear instructions . Thank you. X can I take it to anyone for help rather than communicate via this very frustrating, slow process??? Jacqui

I appreciate you have tried the troubleshooting steps I provided above. At this moment I would like to ask you to go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Messages and Settings > Notifications > Fitbit and take a screenshot of what you're able to see, that will be very helpful for me to check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

Hello @Chriskin, I hope you're doing well, thanks for joining the conversation. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the forums, have you tried the troubleshooting steps I've provided above? If not, please restart Notifications on your tracker by following these steps:

- Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and tap on tracker. Then tap on Forget this Device.

- Force-close the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app.

- Open the app again and tap on Account > Your Tracker > Notifications. You will receive the following Pop-up:

- Then, once you tap on Set Up, the app will begin setting up your tracker with the Bluetooth on your phone, which will prompt the next pop-up:

- Tap Pair

- Once you get back to the tracker options, tap on Notifications an enable Call Notifications.

I hope this helps, give it a try and let me know the outcome.
