Tired of not being able to synch my Ionic and my iPhone. It doesn’t even keep time. It’s been like this all week. I have done all of the steps they have suggested.
I guess I will switch to Apple or Garmin.

Hello and welcome @CPTMarge
Im sorry to see your having syncing issues. Currently this is a known issue being experienced by some individuals but let’s try a few things to see if that doesn’t get you back up and running again:
Please first check here to insure that your IOS Device is compatible with the new Fitbit App:https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315
If your are indeed compatible with the new Fitbit App there are a few things we can try to get you syncing again.
Let’s try restarting your Fitbit Tracker: Heres how:
https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186
If your still experiencing syncing issues I would suggest force shut the App and restart. Here’s how:
Turn off your Bluetooth
log out of the Fitbit App
completely shut down your device, wait 1-2 mins then restart your device
once your device fully loads enable your Bluetooth again
now log back into your Fitbit App as you normally would with your email address and password
now sync your device
Lastly please check your iOS settings if this problem persist and try this:
😃Hopefully these suggestions resolve your syncing issue. Please let me know

So after a long week of frustration trying to synch my Ionic-including a rant on this forum- my ionic is now working properly. I followed the steps to try a hundred times and nothing. Tried it again last evening and bang, synch. What finally happened at Fitbit?? Inquiring minds want to know!

Hello and welcome @Krhonas
I’m sorry my suggestions did not work for you. Try doing the restart procedure several times. Sometimes that will correct this issue.
😉 keep me posted

I’ve been trying this for an hour and no luck. Unfortunately I don’t have weeks to wait for this to resolve itself as I’m participating in StepBet (winning money for meeting step goals) and the device must sync steps to continue playing. Please advise.

Get a Garmin 😃. This happens to me every update. Ionic stops synching. Currently it is showing yesterdays stats as todays on the phone and I just woke up. I walked 23000 steps yesterday but only got it to synch once at 1600 steps.
If you have a laptop, sometimes connecting the watch using the usb cable will transfer data over wifi.
For me blue tooth seems to be the issue. When you turn it off on your phone and leave it off and restart your watch and turn iff your phone and leave it off a minute and turn everything back on ..sometimes it will synch but then you have to repeat the process next time and that's a lot of work you should not have to do and is frustrating and wastes time. Synching has been down four days for ne. It randomly synched yesterday morning onw minute before my alarm went off on the watch.
When I turned strava on for a walk while wearing my watch it synched and posted an auto exercise after 15 minutes so these random synchs seem indicative of a bad blue tooth connection issue.
