I have an Ionic that i have had for some time; i stopped using it for a while in favour of the smaller and lighter Charge 4 so i cold still wear a dress watch. However, i have fallen out with the Charge as i am unable to trust it to track my runs accurately anymore, it is unreliable. I decided to go back to Ionic, but my iPhone 10 will now not connect with it.
I get part way through the connection process and it says 'oops something went wrong' ABORT.
The Ionic is fully charged; i have gone through connecting it up to my laptop to find the latest firmware update, however, it is not recognised so i cannot update the firmware.
Stuck....... please help! Th current firmware version showing on the Ionic is 27.70.7.27

Hi @Grinchy, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the difficulty you're experiencing with connecting your Fitbit Ionic to your iPhone 10. Thank you for trying to resolve this and providing the additional details. I understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. I recommend trying the following:
1. Remove the Fitbit devices paired to your Fitbit account: How do I remove a Fitbit device from my account?
2. Remove your devices from the Bluetooth settings on your phone.
3. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
4. Force quit the Fitbit app.
5. Restart your watch by following the steps from this help article.
6. Open the Fitbit app and try to connect your watch.
For complete troubleshooting instructions, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
I appreciate your feedback regarding the accuracy of Charge 4, our team is always working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome. You can find more information about the accuracy of Fitbit devices at How accurate are Fitbit devices?
Let me know how it goes.
