Hi I seem to have two user accounts is there a way to merge them and create just one, or do you just delete one

Thanks

Hello @craigm11, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's always nice to see you around @Odyssey13, thanks for all your help. Smiley Happy

@craigm11, as @Odyssey13 mentioned, it's not possible to merge two accounts. If you would like to continue using them, you can but you can only set up your Fitbit device to one of them, if you try to pair it with your other account, it will be removed from the first one.

I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hi @craigm11

You can't combine the accounts. You can just pick one to use and ignore the other one. Pick the one with the most steps or badges would be good.

I now have two user accounts and would like to use my old account but cannot figure out how to get back to it.  I changed my email address on the old account this morning which in turn started the new account.  I did not want to start the new account.  When i put in my old email address and password it will not recognize it.

Hello and welcome to the forums @Dort77

If you can't get the original email and password to work, I'm not sure Fitbit will be able to help you. In order to change an email address, you still need access to the old email. Have you been able to log in the old account since you posted?

Hello @Dort77 thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @Odyssey13, I hope you're doing well.

@Dort77 please note that when you change the email address on your account, you automatically receive a verification email on the new email address to finish the change email address process. This process will not create a new account, it will simply change the email address associated to the old account.

On the other hand, if you created a new account with a different email, you can still access your old account, please reset the password on the old account and try to log in again.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

How do I do this - I have a new Fitbit and was not able to login on my old email so had to set up a new account.

How do I get the accounts merged?

Hi @Keith1974  usually if you can't get into an email address, that account is unreachable. You have much history on the old account? I'll ask a moderator to stop by, but I'm pretty sure you can't get the accounts merged.

Hi @Keith1974. Welcome to the Community Forums. @Odyssey13, thanks for bringing this thread to my attention!

@Keith1974, thanks for sharing the issues experienced with your account. As @Odyssey13 mentioned, currently there isn't an option to merge to different accounts in a single one. That means that you can either log in to your old account and set up your new Fitbit there, or continue syncing with the new account.

In case you'd like to have access to your old account, may I know if you tried resetting your password? Do you get an error message when trying to log in? Please make sure the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version, reboot your phone and try logging in to your old account.

Please keep @Odyssey13 and me updated!
