Is there a secret way to use the food log effectively?

Like if I search for "Cheese Scone" it is NOWHERE to be found, but I scan the barcode and it finds it.

But then I think "Yay barcodes work!" and the next 4 items I scan aren't in there.

 

If I mainly shop at one grocery story, why does the grocery store name not have more weight in the search? In fact, I don't think it even counts.

 

Also, I am in the UK, am I meant to be getting the USA branded foods? I have moved countries so maybe it is me?

 

One more, MFP has that cool thing where you can save a meal or a recipe, and re-enter it the next time  (great for a smoothie recipe or fave sandwich etc). How can I do this on Fitbit?

 

Any tips welcomed.

Ok. Database was in USA.. now it is working much better. For reference that is under

Profile pic - activity and wellness - nutrition and weight - food database
