Issues setting up surge

When setting up my surge, the app had been on the "getting ready" screen for a hour yet had made no progress and the actual surge was still on the setup screen also. I have a feeling the app is not setting up the surge normally.

Hi @thefabbrother and welcome to the Community!

I'd first recommend restarting your Surge, click here for instructions.

Next, I would recommend making sure that you have All-Day Sync turned on. You can turn it on by: clicking the account button in the bottom right-hand corner > click the Surge tile at the top of the page > scroll down and make sure All-Day Sync is toggled on.

  1. Click the Home button and the bottom right button at the same time for 10-15 seconds unti the screen goes blank
  2. Waited 10-15 seconds and then clicked the home button to turn Surge/Tracker on.
  3. Turned off Bluetooth on Laptop
  4. Inserted Dongle
  5. Opened up Fitbit App and did an Update (Same that had Failed each and every time prior)
  6. After clicking Update this time it actually starting downloading and updating and after it was done (10+ min's) it all worked.
