Issues with Fitbit App and watch communicating after IPHONE ios 18 update

I am very frustrated. I updated my phone last night and now my Fitbit app isn't functioning. I first noticed this around 9:45/10 am this morning when I tried to log food. It wouldn't allow me to search for food. I tried to log another item in my recent. It would not retain the log if I closed the app. I tried to sync it several times and the app said it couldn't sync my Versa 4. Then I noticed my watch time did not match my phone clock.

I have:

-Shut off Blue Tooth and toggled it back on

-I hit forget this device and then re-paired

-I have restarted my phone

-Have deleted the app and then redownloaded it

-I have signed out and now cannot sign back in

I could clearly sign on to it from a computer. 

I would really like some help to fix this issue. I was going to chat someone directly, but it said that it was not available. Please can we figure this out. Thanks.

The app hasn’t been working for more than three weeks - but Google refuse to acknowledge an issue or give any response, let alone when they might have a solution. Many people have been affected, but Google seem more concerned with keeping it under wraps than resolving it.
