Hi @DannyA49  everyone has a different story because we all use and care for our devices in different ways. I have friends who always lose their chargers and I keep mine next to my computer in a dust free container. One didn't like competing (his wife kept beating him) and took his Fitbit off and didn't wear it for months. I have friends who are constantly tapping their Fitbits or letting the batteries die while I don't. One friend takes the Fitbit off and tosses it in her oversized purse, which is a bottomless pit of stuff she never cleans. Some never clean their devices. Another friend leaves their Fitbit in a hot car instead of leaving it on the wrist. We're all different, but we've all had our devices live close to two years or more. Some people like to get the newest Fitbit, much as people often like to buy the latest cell phone. These devices are made to enhance our lives and are pretty amazing tools. They work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and need cleaning and charging.

As far as it being wrong, my printer died eight days past warranty. I used it nearly daily and it served me well. The company didn't give me a discount, which is something Fitbit does for some of their customers. I bought another printer, the same style and it's gone several years past the warranty period.

I'm sorry you've had problems, but not everyone with a Fitbit comes to these forums. Those without problems may never come here. None of my friends in real life or my online challenge friends come to the forums or even complain in private messages. Today I posted to a member who had a five year old Flex. Others on the forums have had devices just as old, if not older.

Hi Danny. I bought my Alta 2 years ago. I use it every day and it’s still working perfectly. It’ll be interesting to see just how long it lasts!

Hi, My ionic died after one year. It suddenly stopped for ever. I had it replaced by Fitbit. My wife’s  Versa started to have problèmes after few months and they have replaced it as well. I have also a collègue that had the versa replaced two times. It is a well known fact ( search this forum and the internet) that Fitbit trackers are very bad for water resistance.

I have owned several Fitbit devices through the years. When they work, they really work great, but they do die way too early. I bought the Ionic thinking, that at that price level, it would last. I was wrong. It had to be replaced under warranty after less than a year and has now stopped syncing. I will be replacing it soon, but probably not with another Fitbit device. It is simply not worth the seemingly constant hassle.
