Live heart rate not showing in app

I recently changed from an android to iPhone.  On the new iPhone (8 plus) fitbit is only tracking resting heart rate.  I have hypertension and the heart rate feature is why I purchased this fitbit.  How do I change the setting to have it track heart rate consistently and not just resting

You're right @LZeeW. Just confirmed and it was brought back in August. Thanks a lot for correcting me!

@DarleneHew I would advise then to make sure that you update your Fitbit app to the latest version of the app and see if that helps. Please, let us know if you need more help!

Hi there @DarleneHew, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you're no longer being able to see your live heart rate on your Fitbit app and thanks for providing all these details!

I'd like to let you know that recently, the Fitbit app was updated (for both, Android and iOS devices) and live heart rate no longer appears there. You will be able to see your resting heart rate and also your heart rate graphic but not the heart rate at the current moment. You can only do this by seeing your tracker directly.

Hope this answers your question and anything else you may need, I'm here to help!

PS. Moved your post to the iOS app board for categorization purposes.

@FerdinandFitbit  Not true!  I am looking at my live heart rate in iOS app version 2.82 right now as I am typing.

From the web dashboard, I have Live Data Enabled.

I want to state emphatically that any decision-maker who decides to get rid of this function should be fired!

I've update the app but it also took a re-sync to the fitbit itself on the
new phone to get it to work. Thanks for the help. 🙂

Agree, thank you

I have no understanding at all, as to why you have removed the constant heart rate monitoring on the app! this was a perfect adaptation. when you are running on a treadmill you can keep an eye on your heart rate fat burn and so on rather than trying to look at your wristband and when running on a treadmill, which quite often results in you losing your footing..

can the constant heart rate monitoring please be put back in the app as it was a great asset.

Many thanks.
