Losing Logged Steps Previous days

First time post on here. I tried looking through the forums to find the same issue but couldn't find anything.

I stopped opening the Fitbit app sometime in Feb. 2016, and recently started using the app again (last couple of weeks). I had zero steps logged for the time that I didn't check the app. Is that expected? Do I lose the data if I don't login to the Fitbit app to check my steps?

Since I've been using the app over the last couple of weeks, I have started to lose days that I know I had logged steps.

I've checked the online dashboard and they are also missing there. I've tried updating my iPhone 6 software, and installed the latest app update tonight, but I'm still missing data.

I am going to start taking screen shots of steps so I can report the lost data.

I found one post where they lost data because they were not logged into Fitbit, but as far as I know I've been logged in the entire time (except for brief periods today where I was troubleshooting).

Sorry one last post on this. I started actively using the Fitbit app again on 7/10/16. I know the date because I was login my weight, and I still see that in the app. I previously had steps logged back to 7/10/16, but now I only have steps logged back to 7/22/16.

It's nice to see you around the Community @KPKent Woman Very Happy, welcome aboard!

Our tracker stores minute-by-minute data for one week. After 7 days, that data is converted to a daily total, which is stored for an additional 23 days. When you sync your tracker, its data is uploaded to your Fitbit.com Dashboard and securely stored on Fitbit's servers.

If you're having syncing issues, I'd recommend following the steps I've shared in this discussion.

Hope that helps, have a nice day!
