The Macbook Air app does not have an option to connect to my Charge 4.

@amattar   I'm sorry, but there is no way to connect or sync your Charge 4 with your MacBook.  Older model trackers can sync with software called Fitbit Connect.  The Charge 4 isn't compatible with Fitbit Connect.  You must use a compatible smartphone/tablet.
