A meditation tracker would be helpful and would make Fitbit a more well rounded fitness (Mind & Body) app.

It's so weird they have a relax button which I use when I meditate but there is nothing on the dashboard to show it, I have to use a separate app to track it. I hope Fitbit can just add to the dashboard, the function is there, they just have to map it . I have a charge 2

Hey, what is the separate app you use?

We need to have our kids adopt a regular meditation practice, and how instead of painstaking practices like detention, being in the present moment through
meditation achieves more value for our kids (and us) in the long run.

Assuming you have a Fitbit with HR sensing, use the "yoga" exercise shortcut and start/stop a "yoga" session at the beginning/end of each meditation.  HR bpm seems to have a good correlation with depth of the meditation, from my experience.

Another, less sensitive, method is to start/end a "sleep" period for each meditation session using the Fitbit app, as follows: dashboard > tap the "How did you sleep?" square > tap the + in the upper right corner > tap "Begin sleep now" ... and then tap "I'm awake" when you're done.  (Note: The iOS app is similar, but slightly different from the Android app process that I just descibed.)  The resulting sleep logs won't give as clear a record of depth of meditation, but will at least show duration of each session and deeper vs. lighter aspects.

What app do you use to track your mediation practice... all I can find are guided but I'd like to do my own practice.

I use « done » It’s an app to help build and quit habits. 🙂

It’s really cool because you can track several habits and it challenges you to keep up your streaks!
