Message Button not responding on the Fitbit app

hi all, I noticed this past week that the message button is jacked up. I can reply to previously received messages. However, I cannot initiate a new message/new conversation with any friends who haven’t sent me a message. I’m running an iMax, Xs Max, update 15, and a Charge 2 version 3.47. Anyone ideas???
